Hakomi Practice at the Bethlehem Centre: Wonder
It is easy to miss moments of simplicity, beauty and wonder in our everyday lives. Most of us meander through our days, moving from one body-heart-mind state to another, without awareness of our participation in these movements. We experience the world as if it is “happening to us”. This day is an opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings, to slow down and take the time to intentionally connect with a state of wonder, beauty, and the miracle of life, that in Hakomi, we call “spacious mind”. Learning to access and apply this state of body-heart-mind has enormous healing potential for any relationship, be it personal or professional. It is possible to learn to voluntarily choose states of body-heart-mind that lead to more ease, freedom and joy, and away from entanglements and suffering.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we will use a combination of Mindful Self-Discovery somatically-based practices in pairs or small groups to discover new information about our relationship to spacious mind.
