Christian, Easter


Through input, reflection and dialogue, along with creative ceremonies of the Holy Week Triduum, Diarmuid O’Murchu, priest and social psychologist, will explore with us the meaning of this Christian festival and its hopeful message for the world of our time.

Retreat Schedule

Thursday 24th

  • 5:00 Opening Session: Input from Diarmuid, questions & reflective time.
  • 6:30 Agape or Eucharist (Agape includes the evening meal).

Friday 25th

  • 8:00-9:00 Breakfast
  • 9:30 – 10:45 Input on meaning of the Paschal Journey today.
  • 10:45 Morning Coffee
  • 11:15 – 12:30 Reflective exercise in anticipation of the Way of the Cross.
  • 12:30 Lunch.
  • 3:00 The Way of the Cross (about 90 mins) followed by quiet time
  • 5:30 Evening Meal.
  • 7:30 Holy hour around the Cross, facilitated by Diarmuid.

Saturday 26th

  • 09:30-10:45 Input Session
  • 10:45 Morning Coffee.
  • 11:15-12:30 Input Session
  • 12:30 Lunch.
  • Quiet reflective afternoon till 5.00hrs
  • 4:30 Gathering Strands: Dialogue session.
  • 5:30 Evening Meal.
  • 7:30 Holy Saturday Liturgy (about 80 mins).

Sunday 27th

  • Coffee available but no breakfast
  • 9:00 Easter Morning Eucharist
  • 10:15 Brunch & Depart

Commuters

$200 per person.

This includes snacks, meeting space and the following meals :

Overnight Guests

If someone wishes to stay overnight for the retreat it is $180 for 3 nights per person for a private room with shared washroom.
