Living Yoga Series: Take Root & Grow

These one day programs are supported by ongoing weekly meet ups. You will gain a perspective on living in this world which has guided saints, sages and everyday people for thousands of years based on Scriptures that are as relevant today as they were then. You will find peace through understanding, reduce stress and through simple techniques you can do at home, find the happiness that is inherent within you.  These ancient scriptures are presented by modern day Yogis along with the tools and practices you can use for your personal transformation.

Root deeply to grow expansively!

This one short day followed by a series of evening gatherings to delve into the Scriptures from Hindu philosophy is taught by a man educated by Catholic nuns who spent the greater part of his 20’s immersed in Hindu culture in India. Thommas Michaud has extensive training in Yoga, Chi Kung, and Tai Chi spanning the  past 40 years.  Alongside these Vedanta Scriptures we will have movement and relaxation practices led by Sandra Sagarmurti Shotton from Island Yoga Vista. This will help prepare us to sit, listen, take root and grow! This is an introduction to the scriptures that form the basis of Yogic thought from the Hindu tradition. Our vision is to help people to relax and open to these teachings over a series of short day programs throughout the year supported by the opportunity to meet weekly to continue the discussion. Meeting each Tuesday evening will help us to stay connected, build community and deepen our understanding of these fundamental truths which lie at the heart of all the major religions.
