Stressed out? Come join us.
This program is a 6-week, psycho-educational group intervention inspired by the evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindful Living is designed to guide participants through thorough mindfulness training to help them learn to manage stress, anxiety, pain, and other challenges. Engaging in present-moment awareness allows participants to develop the capacity to cultivate new relationships with their experience. The goal of the program is to support the cultivation of curiosity, kindness, and patience and to facilitate sustainable changes in health attitudes and lifestyle behaviours. The Mindful Living program includes experiential learning and information about how to develop and nurture your own healthy habits and mindfulness practice.
Participants will learn how to:
- Practice mindfulness and be present with their experience.
- Support the integration of learning into daily lives
- Support the development of healthy habits and ongoing mindfulness practice
