Mon Sep 20, 2021 - Thu Sep 23, 2021
4:00 pm - 12:30 pm
For four days, come and spend a spacious time in creative practice. Bring whatever art you practice and receive spaciousness, spiritual reflection, and creative community for yourself and others in an artist’s retreat. Spend dedicated time for visual arts, singing, movement, writing or song composition. Individual and community-oriented practices like theatre arts, choral, or performance art are ways to deepen and refocus on the particular art you want to do.
Facilitated by Nan Goodship and Murray Groom
Artist, spiritual director, and retreat leader Nan Goodship considers herself to be an ecological artist, a lover of community life, and someone who brings a contemplative and playful interest to a creative life. Recently graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in interdisciplinary arts, her research included creative process, a topic she is excited to share.
Ordained United Church Minister and spiritual director Murray Groom is a graduate, former staff member, and one-time interim Director of the Pacific Jubilee Program in Spiritual Direction. He is a practiced spiritual director and regularly co-conducts extended silent retreats at Naramata Centre in the Okanagan Valley.
