March 17, 2020
To our friends, supporters and partners;
As the situation related to the COVID-19 continues to evolve and guidelines change in response to new information, the impact on Bethlehem Centre has been intensifying. The health and safety of our staff and clients are of primary importance. Many individuals are choosing to self-isolate, and many groups are cancelling or postponing gatherings in the interest of quelling the spread of this serious virus. These decisions have had direct financial impacts on Bethlehem Centre, and the Centre is unable to continue operations in the short term without a consistent flow of revenue.
In consideration of these facts and the recommendations of the Government and Provincial Health Officer, the Centre Board made the decision to close the Bethlehem Centre for a period of 3 months commencing immediately until June 16, 2020. During this time, we will continue to monitor the evolving situation and respond as needed.
If you have any questions, concerns or had a reservation with us, please email me at email@example.com
This decision has been particularly difficult since the Centre has been moving in a very positive direction and has been experiencing a new upswing with a bright future of innovative programs planned for 2020. That being said, your health, the health of your loved ones and of our communities is paramount for all of us.
When this crisis has passed, a place of health and healing will be needed more than ever, and our intention is to be ready to respond to that need. In the meantime, stay well, self-isolate as needed and show kindness wherever possible; the world needs more kindness right now.
